Wangfujing Paleolithic Museum
You find this museum in the basement of one of the largest malls in Beijing right next to a subway entrance. This 30,000-year-old settlement was uncovered by a subway crew. They were just going to throw the bones out but the government was convinced to keep the bones and they opened this museum.

The information you have on the Wanfujing Paleolithic Site is simply not correct. First of all, the site was discovered during the diggingof the basements of Oeriental Plaza, not any subway line. Hence it's location inside Oriental Plaza.
Secondly, although the workers were not alert to the artifacts, a local archeologist of the Beijing University was on site when the find was made. Hence it's succesful preservation.
I just wanted to coorect you since you make it sound as if all chinese are equally ignorant, etc.
For more + correct information on the museum visitors are invited to visit the below page link: http://www.drben.net/ChinaReport/Beijing/Landmarks-Hotspots/DongCheng/Oriental_Plaza/Wanfujing_Paleolithic_Museum/WanfujingPaleolithicMuseum1.html
